Luz finds Gus amusing, mostly because he treats her specially because she is human. Luz is the one who gives Gus his nickname and she is more than happy to teach him about human customs such as the high-five. He doesn't seem to mind the fact that Luz thinks that Willow is more powerful, as he states that he "knows what he's about". In "Something Ventured, Someone Framed", Luz begins to admire Gus' rather advanced illusion magic and compliments him on his abilities. In "Wing It Like Witches", both he and Luz stand up for Willow, and after Luz pushes them too hard, he doesn't hold any ill feelings, and forgives her.

Although Luz rigs the portal to be destroyed, Belos repairs it and eventually acquires a vial of Titan's Blood to power the portal. Belos also later purchases an army of Abomatons from the Blights to increase his forces for the Day of Unity, with Hunter noting that Belos dislikes anyone establishing an unauthorized private army.

Eda sends Owlbert to the human realm to gather more human treasures and the palisman returns with a bag full of random objects. She rummages through the bag to find a smartphone, a diamond ring, and a golden chalice, all of which are deemed worthless to her; she does manage to find a pair of glasses with dangly eyes, which she claims will make her rich. The last item in the bag is a book from the The Good Witch Azura series, which Eda sees as good kindling. Just as Eda is about to burn the book on the candle, Luz snags the book from her, but before the human can escape, Eda closes the portal door. However, she has no intentions of harming Luz and instead tries to sell her some of the human garbage she has. Upon returning, they find the aftermath of King and Hooty's battle with animated toys.
